Some of my favorite moments in Grenada have been our scooter rides, one girl at a time hopping on in front of me for a little adventure. Sometimes we headed into the mountains where the air turned cool and the trees brushed past us in long green lines. Other times we rode toward the beach with warm wind on our faces and the sea opening up ahead.

Whoever was with me would hold on tight and lean into the turns, laughing as we picked up speed. Every ride felt light and free, almost like the two of us were gliding over the island instead of driving through it.
