Father’s Day at the Mountain House

This year’s Father’s Day at the mountain house felt perfect from the moment we woke up. We spent the day relaxing and planting our garden together, each of you choosing your own little patch of earth. Juniper, you started your radish bed with the same careful focus you bring to everything. Sydney, you transplanted your birthday sorrel, patting the soil like you were tucking it in for a nap. Now your sorrel is ready for harvest, just in time for making delicious and colourful Christmas drinks. It was the kind of slow, happy day that stays with me always.
