Christmas Eve in Bequia felt like a dream we stepped into together. We spent the day at Lennox the Lion’s beach spot, getting ready for the biggest lobster feast we had ever had. Earlier, Aaron and Dada had taken the bus across the island to track down a mountain of fresh lobsters, then climbed a steep hill to find a retired French butcher who cut for us the most beautiful Christmas steaks. By the time evening came, all our friends were gathered on the sand, cooking, swimming, laughing, and playing games under the warm island night. It was one of those Christmas Eves that settles into your heart forever.
